The Future of Vending Machines - Gesture Technology

The Future of Vending Machines - Gesture Technology

A technology is only good when it is applied creatively.  This proposal was developed for BATJ a few years ago even before Xbox came out with KINECT.  I met some technologist from Singapore who share what they were working on and a year later I went back to them if they could actually develop a vending machine that you do not need to touch.

The proposal was presented and accepted to move on to prototype stage and we did it.  Coke came out with the first touch screen vending machine but we would have the world's first gesture vending machine.

Gesture is still at its infancy stage and there are so many very practical application, some of the more immediate ones are health related like even opening the doors to toilet or the toilet seat, taps are already sensor controlled..

Together with XYZ Technology partners, several test pilot projects was done, one was a gesture jack pot machine , a soccer goal gesture booth, a flying game.

What's next.... perhaps I am waiting for a challenging brief.
